Stella Duffy

Stella Duffy first played with the Suggestibles in February 2011 at the Cumberland Arms and then again there in July.

A comedy performer, theatre director and literary author, Stella is originally from New Zealand and lives in London. She is an associate artist with Improbabble, most recently in Lifegame at the Lyric Hammersmith and Bristol Old Vic in 2010, and has been a member of impro comedy company Spontaneous Combustion since 1988.

She has directed for various companies at the Soho Theatre, Pleasance and Riverside. Her solo show Breaststrokes was Time Out and Guardian Critic’s Choice.

She has also written twelve novels, over forty short stories, and eight plays!
