The Suggestibles Covid Safety Policy

Updated 8th April 2022

We frequently review our risk assessment and update our Covid Policy, whilst carefully observing new NHS, government, and professional performing arts guidelines.

We are no longer enforcing Covid passports to any of our classes or shows, as many have become outdated with 10 or more weeks passed since vaccination.

As lateral flow tests are now difficult to get and costly, we are no longer insisting on testing prior to attending classes or shows. However, for your safety and the safety of others:

  • You must not attend if you have Covid symptoms.

  • You must not attend if you have had recent close contact with someone who has been infected. Whilst you may not be showing symptoms, you could still spread the virus.

  • You of course must not attend if you have taken a test and had a positive result with the last 24-hours.

For in-person classes at Jurys Inn:

  • For ventilation and fresh-air flow during class, windows will remain open, or be opened at regular intervals if the weather is especially cold or windy. We advise you bring an extra jumper.

  • Doors will also be open during quieter moments to increase airflow (improv can get noisy at times and there may be other groups in neighbouring rooms).

  • Please sanitise your hands when entering and exiting the building, and when entering or exiting our own spaces.

  • It is up to you if you want to wear a mask. Whilst observing this doesn't cause an issue, but we ask you remove your mask during scene work and exercises where it hinders communication between yourself and your scene partners. This follows professional performing arts guidelines.

  • Class sizes will be a maximum of 12 per and a minimum of 6.

Cancellation due to Covid:

  • If you (or a named member of your group booking) are showing Covid symptoms or have had a positive test result, we will provide a full refund for the person who cannot attend when you give us no less than 24-hours-notice.

  • With less than 24-hours notice, we can only provide a refund if we are able to fill your space from our waiting list.

  • Please inform us if you show symptoms in the days following your class, so we are able to tell others you may have been in contact with, and therefore help to stop the spread.

  • Note: This does not apply to courses. We're sorry we cannot refund cancelled individual classes that are part of a course.

See our full terms and conditions for our standard refund policy on bookings outside of the Covid exemptions above.

N.B. Refunds, credits, and transfers are not automated and need to be manually processed. Please tell us when you cancel should you be eligible and require a refund, credit, or transfer.

Should we need to cancel or postpone an event you have booked due to Covid, we will provide you a full refund, or a transfer to another suitable event should you prefer.

Thank you for adhering to our policy. #staysafe
